For Tim and Shannon’s engagement photo-shoot, Shannon wanted to emanate a sense of a style from ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ at the same time she had a few custom requests to be included on the shotlist. Like, Shuz, their shih tzu who had to be included; no problem especially since Shuz is a star in her own right. It’s also understandable as Shuz is considered family and has been with them from the start. The sense of sentimental contributes to the creativity of a newlyweds shotlist and it might not always work but considering the challenges that could arise with pets we had no complications.
The contemporary look of their engagement photo-shoot was successful in part to the location, The Hotel Georgia. The Hotel Georgia, first opened in 1927 as Rosewood Hotel Georgia, it came to be known as Vancouver’s most historic & elegant retreat. In 2011 the Georgian Revival property returned to its former grandeur and elegant stature at the heart of the city. We had a nice time taking photos and thank all the staff for their co-operation.
If you’re interested in knowing what Double Vision Photography offers, here’s a breakdown of an engagement photo-shoot. We photograph between 2 – 3 different looks. We composes a wide range of looks so that you’re able to use multiple shots for different personal and print purposes. There’s no strict limit on the number of shots taken we shoot each look until we feel we’ve gotten it covered. If you prefer certain compositions to be vertical or horizontal let us know and we will accommodate.
Once the photo session is complete we transfer all images from camera to computer for post production selection and processing. These photos will be made available to you through a privately created online photo gallery to which we provide you the web address and password information.
The private online gallery is the perfect tool for choosing your shots and remains online for a minimum of 1 month from your shoot date. By the time the site is no longer active, you will have downloaded the jpeg proofs of the entire shoot. If in future you require additional shots from the shoot to be retouched, processed at high resolution and prep-ed for printing it will be at a cost to you of $65 per shot plus tax.

Gear & Setup Specs:
All shots were taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II – 21.1 megapixel medium format digital camera – 430 EXII Speedlite, diffused soft box and bouncer.
Retouching & Prints
Approved and final edited shots will be processed at high resolution then uploaded for delivery via transfer of a private and secure online password protected clouding service (i.e. – Dropbox) for digital download by the client of a specified date and email address agreed upon by Double Vision Photography and the client. It is recommended the client then upload all images to disk to take to any printing house of the client’s choice or by our recommendation.
For convenience and quality we would suggest prints via a privately protected online gallery that hosts all of our photos by our online shop ‘DVP.smugmug.com’ by ‘SmugMug’. It has all the information you require including price, size, format and delivery options.
