Whether, a product launch, charity or promotion like a James Bond VIP event we covered for Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver – Double Vision Photography can capture those memorable images for you. We’ve done so in the past and recently over the weekend before Halloween. We were hired by a group taking on the Vancouver ‘no fun-zone’ reputation by holding private events of their own. It’s become a small community of young professionals who are connected socially and career wise on the same level, these private events remove the stigma of the unfriendly and frustrating club life in VanCity.
This particular event for Halloween took place at ‘Studio 1666’ in Kitsilano, the clients intention was to have photos of the night to share through social media, building anticipation and interest to carry them to their next event. Double Vision photographed the event in 3 styles: clean portrait shots of people in character (pardon the pun) color including black & white in a journalistic reporter-style to make sure we captured the highlights: people flirting, talking, dancing etc. and slow shutter shots to create streaking lights with movement.
The photos turned out great we had a few good laughs. Overall this was fun to shoot and edit. Jamie and I had a good time we met some really cool people in a very fun atmosphere. It was a full house all night and it looked like everyone enjoyed themselves – how could you not it was Halloween?
