One night early fall Johnny and I were returning home from a night out of capturing long exposure photos of Vancouver’s city skyline when we came across this beautiful Lamborghini. The car was parked at the side of the road outside a restaurant here in Kitsilano just over the bridge south of downtown Vancouver. All photographers have a wish list of many things they want to photograph and the Lamborghini has always been high up on our list.

There isn’t photographer out there that doesn’t want to photograph an exotic car and living in Vancouver we get to see plenty of them… drive by. We also like to think photographing a Lamborghini and to showcase it in our portfolio is something to be proud of.

I’d categorize this as an impromptu shoot though not as technical because we didn’t ‘photograph’ a Lamborghini in a studio with all the gear instead we opted for the ambient haze of red and neon lighting from the adjacent store-fronts and street lights. Our initial thinking when we snapped this photo was only to see how far we could push the Diablo manipulating into something that would be worthy of showcasing.

Another image that we captured but unfortunately at the time, I got a third of the way through and realized that I wasn’t screen-capturing the process for it. The gallery is below with several different variations.
